Patna: BJP President of the State Dr.
Sanjay Jaiswal has developed Stevens-Johnson Syndrome (SJS) disease and recovering in AIIMS Patna.
He is expected to be fully cured on September 10.
SJS is a deadly disease whose symptoms include high fever, skin rash, the pain in the joints and severe burning sensation on the skin, after that the skin starts to peel.
“This is a rare disease, when your own limbs began to work against you.
Initially, it was difficult to diagnose,” said Dr.
Jaiswal on Thursday on his Facebook account.
However, Dr.
Jaiswal in a statement on Friday said, “Even now, there is a class-one burning on my skin.
Therefore, it will be difficult for me to meet anyone, because I can’t even take any medication at this time.
Therefore, I will be able to meet you only after September 10 “” SJS is a very dangerous disease.
I developed it because I had taken medicine with gout for the past 15 days, “Dr.
Jaiswal said on Friday.
“Even though lakh people take this medicine, only around 50-100 people develop this disease,” he said.
“First there was a high fever of 104 degrees F, then the rash appeared on the skin, when I got myself at AIims Pana.
With blessings and goodbye from all of you, I’m fine,” he said.
