LONDON: MM Naravane Gen Army Chief of Staff has met with the Chief of England’s Defense Staff Gen Sir Nicholas Carter and exchanged views on defense cooperation between the two countries.
Gen Naravane arrived on a two-day visit to England on July 5, the Indian High Commission here said in a statement.
During the UK class from its European tour, Gen Naravane was also scheduled to meet the Secretary of England for Ben Wallace defense and General Staff General Sir Mark Carleton-Smith.
“General MM Naravane Coas interacts with General Sir Nicholas Carter, Chief of Staff of Defense, CD and views exchanged about bilateral defense cooperation,” the Directorate General of Public Additional Indian Army Tweeted on Tuesday.
Previously, Gen Naravane checked the guardian guard provided by the Grenadier guard at the horse guard parade as part of the British army.
The head of the Army will visit the British Army Formation and engage with mutually beneficial subjects.
During his European tour’s second leg on Wednesday and Thursday, Gen Naravane would hold an important discussion with the Chief of Staff of the Italian Army Staff and Staff.
“In addition, the Army Chief of Staff will also inaugurate the Indian army memorial in the famous Cassino city and will be complained at the center of the main advantage of Italian soldiers in Cecchignola, Rome,” said the Indian army in pre-visit statement.
