Thiruvananthapuram: KPCC K Sudhakaran President and Opposition Leader V D Satheesan held a meeting with Chandy and Ramesh Chennithala’s ommen at the KPCC headquarters to resolve the differences they have for the appointment of the President of DCC.
As part of the conciliation efforts taken by state leadership, AICC Secretary General Tariq Anwar has called his visit scheduled to meet the leaders here.
The meeting was scheduled to be in front of UDF to complete the house so that UDF constituents would accuse that the crisis in Congress affected the front.
Chandy and Chennithala reached the KPCC headquarters in the morning and have a closed door discussion with Sudhakaran and Sathean.
Immediately before the meeting to calm unsatisfied leaders, Sudhakanan was looking for an explanation from MP Kasaragod Rajmohan Unnithan for criticizing Chandy and Chennithala in public.
This is one of the main complaints of leaders, that the leadership of the KPCC did not act against those who openly sprayed Chandy and Chennithala.
“We have detailed discussions and all problems have been resolved.
There are no more disputes between us.
All demands of these leaders will be included and considered during the construction of the District Committee and also in KPCC,” said Sudhakanan after the meeting.
Sudhakanan’s first meeting with Chandy and Chennithala after Party High Command announced the new DCC president.
As part of the effort to make peace, opposition leader V D Sathean has met Chandy and Chennithala in their home on Sunday.
It was lowned that the meeting by Sathean was part of the steps to bring these leaders to UDF meeting, scheduled for Monday.
Because of the serious difference of these leaders with the leadership of KPCC, there was fear that they might stay away from the UDF meeting.
Sathean meeting has two leaders opening the way for further discussion.
Opposition leaders say there are no problems that cannot be resolved.
“The KPCC president and I planned a meeting with senior leaders in their homes.
It has been welcomed by party ranks and files.
We are in a mission to rebuild the party with unity.
For this, leadership will continue the support of all senior leaders,” SatheMedan said.
