Tuticorin: South Police Thoothukudi arrested an Ilayaraja, 35, Secretary of the Ottapidaram Union and President Ottapidaram Panchayat, for kidnapping the dentist (senior senior) at The Thoothukudi Medical College and Hospital on Thursday.
He took the victim to his farmhouse, struggling, took his smartphone and also threatened him by submitting a complaint with the police.
According to the police, M Murugan Perumal, 25, from Thirukazhukundram in the Chengalpatttu district, is conducting a senior internship at the government medical college here.
He is a relationship with fellow senior female internships and has begun intimidating him with photos of both of them and their cellphone chat.
“A fearful girl told her mother, who was a professor in an art of government assistance and science in Tuticorin.
He in turn seeks help from Ilayaraja who is a former student to deal with this problem,” said Tuticorin District SP S Jayakumar to Tii.
On Thursday afternoon Ilayaraja and his two legs kidnapped Muruga from medical colleges in the car.
They took him to the Ilayaraj farmhouse in Ottapidaram and beat him with a rubber tube.
Murugan suffered two small injuries on his head in an attack that lasted several hours.
The trio took a smart phone for 70,000 and his wallet before dropping it in a medical hospital, warned him to leave Tuticorin and that they would kill his family if he reported the incident to the police to the police.
Murugan fled to her friend’s place in Madurai and told her family.
His family admitted he to The Thoothukudi Medical College and Hospital on Friday night, from where Murugan filed a complaint with South Police Thoothukudi.
Ilanda and his legs were ordered under six parts IPC including kidnapping and extortion by placing someone in fear of death or sad injury.
The DMK panjamin was arrested and the vehicle used for kidnapping was also confiscated.
The search was launched for both feet.
