Head of RSS Mohan Bhagwat arrived at Assam on a 2-day visit

Guwahati: Head of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Mohan Bhagwat arrived at Assam on a two-day visit on Tuesday night.
Bhagwat held a meeting with senior organizations from various parts of Assam and other northeastern countries such as Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur and Tripura, said a spokesman for RSS.
Things related to the organization and steps for the welfare of people and the community during the pandemic discussed at the meeting, the spokesman said.
Bhagwat was also scheduled to meet with several political leaders on Wednesday but their names were not disclosed.
This was the first visit of RSS head to Assam after BJP returned to power for the second period in a row in the state.
Bhagwat will also launch a book about the NRC-CAA debate in Assam on Wednesday.
Minister of Himanta’s minister Buswa Sarma is scheduled to attend this program.
He will go to Chennai on July 22, the spokesman said.
