New Delhi: Head of the Naravane MM Gen Army on Sunday was left on a four-day visit to England and Italy with the aim of increasing Indian bilateral relations with the two countries.
The army said Gen Naravane will meet his colleagues and senior military leaders from both countries to explore ways to improve military cooperation.
During the first visit, the Army Chief of Staff will hold talks with the Secretary of England for defense, Defense Chief of Staff, General Chief of Staff and other officials, said the army.
He will also visit various army formations where he will exchange ideas about very interesting problems, he said.
“During the second leg of the tour from July 7 to 8, the army’s head would hold an important discussion with the defense chief of staff and the Chief of Staff of the Italian Army,” the army said in a statement.
“In addition, the Army Chief of Staff will also inaugurate the Memorial of the Indian army in the famous city of Cassino and will be briefed in the center of the excellence of Italian soldiers in Cecchingola, Rome,” he said.
