Nagpur: After nodding from the Maharashtra government, the District Election Office has announced that the poll for the position of Chairperson of the Transportation Committee 13 members will be held on August 6, get the second term as the head of the transportation panel.
The post lay empty after the BJP City Parliament Committee issued three-time corporators Narendra Borrow, who held a position for two years, in April this year.

BJP has not announced the nomination of Kukde for the post, the sources of the party said he would give up his nomination on election day.

BJP should have nominated Kukde as a substitute for Borrow.
However, because covid-induced locking, NMC cannot conduct elections, although nominated six corporators including Kukde on the Transportation Committee.
The six new corporators must replace the members led by Borrow, whose resignation of the panel is received by the Transportation Panel and the General Body’s body wants to continue in the post and also citizes the state government notices that enable the continuation of the permanent committee and chairman of the Subject Committee and members outside their term of office.
