Australia Batsman Travis Head will rejoin the squad on Friday after completing a seven-day mantra in isolation after a positive Covid-19 test, the word Cricket Australia (CA).
The head was replaced beside for the fourth ash test in Sydney by Usman Khawaja after he was forced to isolate in Melbourne last week.
“The Australian Travis Head dough will rejoin the son’s squad for the ash series on Friday as long as he returns a negative quick antigen test from today,” CA said in a statement on Wednesday.
“Heads’ isolation period ends tomorrow.
He tested the negative this morning and would submit to another test tomorrow morning.
If negative, as anticipated, he will fly to Sydney.” He will have one final test on Friday, if the negative is anticipated, it will allow him to rejoin the group.
“The head played a role in Australia’s victory in the first test in Gabba, scored 152 running from 148 balls.
Captain Pat Cummins said on Tuesday he would return to fifth position and the final test in Hobart was played from January 14-18.
