Ghaziabad: Ghaziabad ranks the lowest among the six Division Meerut regencies about the publication of the Golden Ayushman Bharat card, the health insurance policy of Rs 5 Lakh for people from disadvantaged economic backgrounds.
Against the target of publishing cards 7.40 lakh, the Ministry of Health just issued 1.24 lakh so far.
The performance of five other districts is also unsatisfactory.
The commissioner of the Meerut division has now asked all six districts to conduct reviews and increase the publishing speed of the card.
Ayushman Bharat’s scheme began about two and a half years ago.
Since the start of the scheme until now, only 6,311 people in the district have benefited.
In May, a total of 78 beneficiaries took advantage of the scheme.
Likewise, in the same month, the department can make gold cards only for 33 beneficiaries.
In the letter, the Commissioner said that Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana was an important scheme and during the review of this program, it has been found that only 22% of the achievement of the division has been achieved, which is quite unsatisfactory.
The lowest achievement in the division was Ghaziabad, Meerut, Gautam Budh Nagar and Bulandshahr.
The progress of the number of gold cards made last month different from the progress of the district.
8,621 gold cards were issued by Bulandshahr in a month, while only five cards by Hapur, 150 cards by Meerut, 33 cards by Ghaziabad and 92 cards by Gautam Budh Nagar.
“Likewise, there are differences in the progress of the district in the monthly achievement of recipients who are treated under the scheme and progress treated in hospitals is not satisfactory,” read.
The Chief Medical Officer Dr.
NK Gupta said, “Migration is very high in the district.
Beneficiaries are identified by the 2011 census.
Most beneficiaries have migrated since then and cannot be found at the address provided.
We have tracked 90% of beneficiaries in rural areas .
But only 35% of beneficiaries in the urban areas were found.
