Patna: State Minister of Health Pandey Mangal on Friday met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and handed him three models of Patna Medical College and the upcoming Upgrade Hospital (PMCH), which would be the largest in the country and the second largest in the world.
He also thanked PM for the help given to Bihar under the Covid Emergency-2 response package.
In a statement to the press, Pandey said PM praised the work done to change PMCH, which would have 5462 beds.
Pandey also told PM Modi about other works carried out by his department, including the construction of 1600 new hospitals, public health centers, primary health centers and health and health centers.
Pandey also told him about the work done to overcome Covid-19, especially the tests and vaccinations carried out in the flood-affected area, via ship, known as ‘Teek Guardian Naw’.
He told PM about other steps taken to strengthen health infrastructure ahead of the third wave predictions and recruitment of doctors, nurses and paramedics.
“PM Modi also talks about precautions and steps that must be taken to overcome the third wave,” Pandey said through a press release.
