New Delhi: The Minister of Health Harsh Vardhan, whose handling of the Covid-19 crisis pulled Flak from critics, resigned from the Unionist Council on Wednesday, official source said.
The resignation came for hours before Prime Minister Narendra Modi conducted a major expansion and reshuffle of the council of the minister where 43 new members were expected to take an oath.
Besides Vardhan, Minister of Education Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank and Chemicals and Fertilizer Minister D V Sadanda Gowda are two other cabinet ministers who have stopped.
Some state government ministers have also resigned.
