Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said Guwahati’s AIIMS Deferring disappointing

Guwahati: The Minister of Health of the Union and Welfare of the Family, Mansukh Mandaviya, has made a delay in the settlement of AIIMS Guwahati, called the project execution “very disappointing”.
Privy sources for the review meeting held by Mandaviya on Sunday to take the stock of progress, the Minister said the project implementers to submit a revised timeline for the settlement with the Ministry next week.
Mandaviya urged IIT Guwahati, which was close to the proposed project, to provide all technical support and ensure that the quality of the material used was audited, the postponement of project implementation was addressed and all other administrative support.
“The delay in completing the construction of AIIMS Guwahati was very disappointing when the country made a giant step in fighting a pandemic, vaccine administration and all health care parameters were above throughout the country,” said Mandaviya.
Delays include the main civil construction of buildings, roads, channels and procurement of instruments for the functioning of the institute.
“The schedule delivered by the construction company is not accepted because this tends to delay the solution to the project.
The Minister then suggested to hold a meeting together with all stakeholders, involving experts representatives from IIT Guwahati representatives and giving a weekend road map for the Ministry of Health and came with a concrete date AIIMS inauguration, Guwahati campus, “Read the release of IIT Guwahati on Monday.

Mandaviya and Mangana along with other officials from various departments, including IIT Guwahati officials, visited the AIIMS construction site in Changsari, on the outskirts of Guwahati and reviewed the entire campus, including the progress of construction work.
Professor TG Sitharam, Director, IIT Guwahati, said the Institute had made a complicated plan to regulate medical school at the Institute along with the support of the state government, and pre-proposal for the same has been submitted to the Ministry of Health.
