Aurangabad: The health authority has so far covered 33,213 houses in the city of Aurangabad under the ‘Har Ghar Dastak’ campaign announced by the center to increase Covid vaccination coverage.
This campaign involves do-do-door visits by health workers to track beneficiaries that have not been vaccinated and convince them to take JAB at the nearest vaccination center.
Dr.
Smita Nalgirkar, immunization officers for Aurangabad, said the beneficiaries of men and women have been located during a do-doard visit conducted by the health team.
“The efforts made by accredited social health activists (Asha) during the campaign have begun to reflect in terms of vaccination rates that have increased everyday.
This campaign also involves the myth of false removers and ideas related to vaccination,” he said.
Aurangabad city limits on Saturday recorded 11,081 vaccination – a daily number record because the vaccination program against Covid-19 was launched by the government.
Health Authority said vaccine doubts were observed in several minority regions dominating Aurangabad.
In particular, the local unit of Aimim led by MP City IMTIAZ JALEEL has carried out mass awareness in many areas to vaccinate.
The party also installed a hoarding in various fields featuring photos of several top leaders who took Jab.
Apart from around 65 vaccination sites, civil administration has also established camps in tourist attractions and several other fields.
Aurangabad has witnessed the total vaccination of 10.16 lakh so far, including 6.31 Lakh beneficiaries who have received the first dose.
Against the total population of the target of 10.5 lakh aged 18 years and above, 3.86 beneficiaries of the Lakh have been fully vaccinated, according to official data.
