Gurgaon: The second phase of the five-day mental and physical health training from a state-run school teacher will continue starting today.
According to the Ministry of Education, around 50 teachers from the four district blocks have been chosen for training.
There are 11 modules as part of the program and the teachers will be trained to improve students’ mental and physical health.
Department officials have stated that with the closure of prolonged schools and the absence of physical education, students have developed health problems and there are problems related to anxiety.
So, it is very important for schools to focus on mental and physical students when schools, which have been closed because the third wave led by Omicron, reopened.
“We are conducting teacher training from all government schools for their physical and mental health.
The first phase has been completed and the second phase is postponed when the school is closed.
Now, the teacher is called back to school based on 50% of attendance.
So, we want to continue training,” said an official of the Ministry of Education.
The first department aims to train at least two teachers each from government schools and then they will provide the same training to other teachers and students in their schools.
In training, the teacher will be taught yoga and other mental well-being techniques.
“For the clarity of a better concept and improved performance, both mind and body need to be fit and in harmonious conditions.
That is the only purpose of this training,” the official added.
