HEARING HC starts at Nia Plea challenging Debit Akhil

Guwahati: The trial at the Nia Petition challenged the disposal of Raijor Dal MLA Akhil Gogoi from all charges under the violation of the law (prevention) acting in cases registered at the Chandmari police station and Chabua for alleged role in inciting violence in December 2019 began in court Gautati height on Friday.
Nia has transferred HC in July, challenging the verdict of Nia Special Court “issued” Gogoi from all charges under the 1967 UPAP after finding adequate material for frame costs.
Gogoi went free on July 1 after spending 18 months and 20 days in prison.
He fought the election of the Assembly from the constituency of Sivasagar from prison and won the battle.
He was the first of Assam to win the election of prison.
The Court Nia did not find adequate materials to link terrorism acts against Gogoi and the accusation of the frame against it under the UU UU (P), 1967 in both cases.
