Rajkot: Park Ishwariya, one of Rajkot’s favorite picnic spot, will soon be developed as an urban ecological forest that will act as a ‘city lungs’.
In addition to renovating existing facilities, the District Administration plans to add a lot of new green attractions to a park within 77 hectares located on Jalan Raya Rajkot-Jamnagar.
The Department of Forest and Rural Development Agency also joined the rebuilding park that would have many facilities such as entertainment zones, water sports, children’s zones, golf courses and other activities.
Planning is being carried out by paying attention to the biodiversity of the region by planting indigenous trees and native flowers and flowers.
Also, artificial ponds will be developed where other water sports activities are planned.
According to officials, the plan also includes the creation of dense forests where people can enjoy natural lines.
Rajkot District Collector Arun Mahesh Babu said that the project costs were estimated at Rs 6 Crore.
“We created this biological garden in the public-private partnership model in collaboration with the Ministry of Forestry and other institutions.
Many activities and points of attraction are planned for visitors.
