Heavy rain forecast to hit the German flood area on weekends

Bonn: German national weather service said on Thursday that the areas hit by floods turned off last week could again see heavy rain on weekends.
Weather services DWD said local storms were most likely from midday Saturday, expanding to most Rhineland-Palatinate countries later on.
Officials said on Wednesday that the death toll from last week’s flood in the western state has risen to 125.
All 174 people were killed in floods, and 31 deaths reported from neighboring Belgium, took the total number of 205.
Authority has built a large camp to rescue workers on the Nuerburgring racing line.
More than 4,500 civil defense workers, firefighters and soldiers have been deployed to help with cleaning efforts in the AHR valley area which is very affected by Rhineland-Palatinate.
