Heavy rain in Kerala until Tuesday: IMD

Kochi: IMD issued a very heavy rainfall warning for several districts until November 16 when estimating expanding rain in Kerala.
A fresh lowressure area is expected to form above the South Andaman Sea on Saturday and move in the west-northwest.
The IMD said that the convection was severe in the next three days, because of the strong Westerners, would bring heavy rain in Kerala Selatan.
Orange warnings were issued to Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam and Idukki on Saturday.
The remaining regency is alert to heavy rain (7-11cm).
On Sundays, Orange Alerts were issued for Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam and Idukki with yellow warnings for other districts.
When strong winds tend to coast Kerala and side by side with the Southeast Arabian sea; Fishermen are advised not to explore the sea.
Overall rainfall tends to be above normal in Indian South Peninsular, including the southern part and interior of TN, Kerala and Mahe, Karnataka and most parts of South Maharashtra.
According to 24-hour rainfall recorded on Friday, IDUKKI 14cm, followed by Thodupuzha / Perumkadavila (11cm each).
Neyattinkara, peerMade and Aluva each got 7cm.
The minimum temperature rises quite in alarpuzha while no major changes are recorded elsewhere.
The punjur records the lowest minimum temperature at 21 degrees.
