Peshawar: Rain Monsun Torrential and Mudslides hit the area in northwest Pakistan on Sunday, destroying the house and killing at least 17 people, police said.
Officer Mohammad Nawaz said eleven corpses recovered from the rubble of mud and brick houses in Tor Ghar district, and rescuers were looking for remaining victims, including women and children.
Nawaz said three adjacent houses were truly swept away in the remote village of the district, while other houses were less affected.
Authorities in Abbottabad City said Mudslida in the outskirts of the city also killed their couples and children, and injured three others.
The state disaster management authority said they sent help assistance to the affected area but landslides in mountainous areas delay shipping.
Efforts are ongoing to clean the road.
The Monsoon season lasts until mid-September in Pakistan, and similar incidents are not uncommon.
