HYDERABAD: The Telangana disaster management wing has alerted six district collectors as the districts are likely to experience heavy to very heavy rains in the next two days.
Disaster management commissioner Rahul Bojja wrote to all district collectors on Friday informing them the next two days June 12 and 13 are crucial as the south east monsoon has been active in the state over the last couple of days and six erstwhile districts Adilabad, Karimnagar, Warangal, Nizamabad, Khammam and Medak are likely to receive heavy rains with thunder showers and strong gusts of winds.
He asked all the district collectors to keep the district machinery on alert for flooding, inundation of low lying areas, falling of trees, electric poles, disruption to various services, damage to infrastructure like roads, tanks, etc.
