Heavy rain warning to ghat Part of Pune district

PUNE: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Thursday issued a significant rain warning to the ghat regions around Pune district at the subsequent 24 hours.
Met officials stated Pune town has been expected to get moderate rainfall at the array of 1.5-6.4cm for another few days, with all the strength of the showers becoming on Saturday.
“Cloudy conditions will prevail throughout the following few times,” the officers said.
“Heavy clouding is observed across Pune district based on radar.
The westerly winds are powerful,” said Anupam Kashyapi, heart of their weather forecasting branch, IMD, Pune.
According to the weekly prediction, generally cloudy skies and mild to medium rain was quite likely at isolated heavy rain at the ghat regions on Friday, that will return to partially cloudy skies becoming usually cloudy towards day / day with light rain on Saturday.
Kashyapi stated water stagnation was probably around the ghat segments, after the deep showers, which could result in slippery streets.
“Therefore, the commuters are advised to remain awake,” he explained.
Heavy to very heavy rain is extremely likely at isolated locations in the areas of south east Konkan-Goa and at the ghat regions of south Madhya Maharashtra.
Thunderstorm accompanied by rain, lightning and gusty wind speed reaches 30-40 kmph proved quite prone to occur at isolated locations in the areas of Marathwada, the prediction stated.
According to the All India current reports, large scale atmospheric conditions aren’t favourable for additional progress of monsoon to Rajasthan, staying areas of Punjab, Haryana and Delhi.
But, there may be slow advancement into a parts of Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh during the next two or three times.
The states which are causing showers in various areas of the state comprise, the cyclonic flow in Uttar Pradesh, a trough in mean sea in south Punjab to south east Assam and also an offshore trough in mean sea level away Karnataka-north Kerala coasts.
The trough from fundamental sections of south east Arabian sea into south Konkan is becoming less conspicuous, the Met officials said.
