Heavy rainfall is likely in some parts of India, including the northern region, in 6-7 days: IMD

New Delhi: Following the resurrection of the Southwest Monsun, several parts of the country, including the northern region, will witness the weight until very heavy rainfall over the next six days, the Indian Meteorology Department (IMD) said on Friday.
The IMD said the rainfall activity was very likely to increase with heavy rainfall with extensive waterfalls to falling very severely over the Western Himalayan region and Uttar Pradesh from 17 to 20 July.
A heavy waterfall is also estimated to be more than Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan and North.

“The so-up storm with lightning is very likely in isolated places in Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, and South Rajasthan for the next 24 hours.
They can cause injuries that lead to victims and animals who live outside,” said IMD.
Rainfall that is widely widespread with isolated heavy waterfalls is also very likely to continue on the west coast and the rest of the parts in West India except over Gujarat for the next six days.
The weight until it falls very hard is very possible on Conkan, Goa, region of Ghat Maharashtra Tengah, Karnataka, Kerala and Mahe during the same period, said IMD.
Heavy rainfall is also expected in northeast India, he added.
Rainfall that is widespread with isolated heavy waterfalls is likely in northeast India and West Bengal Sub-Himalaya and Sikkim until July 19 which will reduce the intensity and distribution afterwards, said IMD.
