Heli-hub on the card in Gurugram, the government to submit a proposal to the center

Gurugram: The state government in collaboration with the Ministry of Civil Aviation Union will build heli-hubs in Gurugram, Minister of Manohar Minister Lal Khettar was announced on Wednesday.
The state government will submit a draft proposal for the hub, which will also function as a helicopter maintenance and repair center, to the airline ministry within a week.
Civil Aviation Union Jyotiraditya Scindia on October 8 has announced a new helicopter policy where a special hub and corridor will be established and allegations of landing and parking deposits are abolished to improve commercial operations.
On Wednesday, during a meeting with Scinda, Khattar and Deputy Chief Minister Dusyant Chautala discussed the possibility of establishing one of the mega hubs in Gurugram.
“We will soon send a proposal to the center to prepare Hel-hub in Gurugram.
As a result of the Heli-Hub settings in Gurugram, the airport will also get support due to intercity facilities and intracial helicopters,” Khattar said.
According to government officials, the state government has worked on policies to expand air traffic infrastructure in the state and has contemplated the decision to build a hub for helicopters.
“It is a happy coincidence that our vision to establish a helicopter hub in Gurugram has been in harmony with a new helicopter policy from the center where around 10 helicopters will be regulated.
It is the honor and great opportunity that the Civil Aviation Minister has chosen Gurugram to be one of the hubs specifically not only facilitating commercial operations but also for helicopter maintenance and operations, “said senior government officials toi.
While the government has not known the end details of the project, officials have suggested that heli-hubs are likely to appear in the global city that is being developed around the sector 36, 36b, 37, 37b and Dwarka Expressway.
The proposed hub will be developed at 10-20 hectares of land connected well with Dwarka Expressway and National Highway (NH) 8, they added.
“Heli-hubs will be used for services such as air taxis, mapped helicopters, helicopter maintenance, among others.
We will invite private players to be part of our project and make it a crowded hub.
In addition, it will function as landing and take- Off points for various helicopter services for the national capital, “added the official.
This project will likely take about one and a half years from the day of approval.
During the meeting with Scindia, the discussion was also held on various civil aviation projects, including the University of Civil Aviation, Drone School, and satellite center in the state.
Apart from this, the development of integrated flight hubs, Aperar, the runway of Karnal, Ambosa Air, and pilot training schools, Narnaul School Bhiwani and pilots, and air service routes in Haryana are also discussed.
The state government has also decided to reduce the value of value added tax (PPN) on air turbine fuel from 20 percent to 1 percent, a statement issued by the government.
