Madurai: The country on Thursday told Madras High Court that almost Rs 500 Crore in foreign investment was made by Kumbakonam ‘Helicopter Brothers’ M R Ganesh and M R Swaminathan who were involved in financial fraud with crores crores rupees from the people.
The court heard the guarantee petition submitted by S Venkatess, a priest and Akilandam aka Akila, wife of Ganesh, the legs accused of main, and arrested in connection with this case.
Justice B Pugalendhi gave a guarantee to Venkatess by considering the fact that he only called investors to invest money in the company run by the brothers.
However, the Judge denied guarantees to Akilandam, after being told that he was one of the directors at the company.
During the previous hearing, the state told the court that the case would be investigated by the wing of economic violations.
Can be remembered that the ‘Helicopter Brothers’ which runs a financial company has approached the rich people who promise to double the return on their investment.
After taking crores rupees from various people, the duo escaped.
This problem was revealed when a couple from Kumbakonam submitted a complaint at Thanjavur District Crime Branch Police.
Furthermore, police arrested Ganesh and Swaminathan.
Ganesh, who is the President of the Wing District of the BJP trader, was released from the post following the allegations.
