Gurgaon: Domestic assistance that has worked at the residence of a Merchant Navy officer in the 10A sector, dismantle his employer’s juice with sedatives and then called on partners to steal cash and valuables at the point of the knife.
The incident occurred on Tuesday night, when domestic assistance reached the house of officers at 5 pm.
Sumita and his two daughters live at home in the 10A sector while her husband, who works in the trader’s navy, goes to work.
Sumita asked for household assistance, who had worked in their homes for the past five months, to make juice for him and his daughter.
Help, allegedly, sedative mixture in juice and after consuming Susita and his daughter felt unwell.
Around the current four other colleagues from domestic assistance entered the house and locked them inside the house.
They use a knife to threaten the three members and force them to find cash and valuables in the house.
The defendant then binded three members in the bedroom and looked for a house for more than two hours.
They fled after gathering all valuables.
Sumita and her daughter, finally, fell unconscious and it was only the next day they gained awareness and was saved by their neighbors.
“The defendant remained in the house for about two hours and the family only got consciousness the next day,” said a neighbor, adding that it was only after hearing the cry of the family they went to the house and found the main gate open.
The victims were locked in the bedroom with their hands and feet tied.
He also said that the victims were taken to the hospital and were dismissed after treatment, but they were still shocked.
The family has hired domestic assistance, from Nepal, without police verification.
Based on complaints, a case is registered at the Sector 10 police station under the Section 328, 381and 34 of the IPC.
