Hyderabad: Congress has demanded that the state government immediately conduct a total assessment of plant damage caused by heavy rain and flooding and giving Rs 15,000 per acre against compensation to farmers.
In a letter to the chairman of the Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Monday, the Congress of the Congress of Telangana Revanth Reddy demanded that CM change the focus of the Huzurabad Bypoll and concentrate on the trouble.
“You (cm) are willing to spend a 3,000 crore at Huzurabad to ensure trs victory in elections at any cost the letter.
He asked the government to supply seeds, fertilizers and incorporate subsidies to farmers to go to sow operations again.
“The government must start paying premiums and ensuring that the plant insurance scheme is expanded to farmers,” he said.
