Ranchi: Chief Union Hemant Soren on Friday ordered an inquiry into Thursday’s collapse of a bridge, that had been recently assembled over Kanchi river at Sonahatu cube of Ranchi district and anticipating inauguration, throughout Cyclone Yaas.
The question came in the aftermath of fees against taxpayers and political parties which the bridge had been assembled with substandard stuff after syphoning away capital.
At an tweet, Soren explained,”I’ve arranged a high-level investigation into the event.
I won’t tolerate corruption and loot of public money through my life span.
” Portions of this Haradih-Budhadih bridge caved in following a column dropped breaking it at the midst after the incessant rains on Thursday.
Thousands of rural inhabitants are impacted by the meltdown since now they must take a detour and go for approximately 30 to 40 kilometres to get to the local block headquarters, such as Bundu, Tamar and Sonahatu.
Shortly after the fall, many political parties demanded a question.
State Congress working president Keshav Mahto Kamlesh composed a letter into urban development ministry Alamgir Alam demanding a high tech investigation into the event.
He said that the guilty contractors have to have been blacklisted and pointed out that the bridge would be the major connector into Mahamayi Mandir, an early burial area.

The CPI(M) sent a email to the ministry demanding a similar investigation into the bridge collapse.
It said that the bridge has been finished only 3 decades back and had no strategy road.
Alleging that poor materials were utilized in the building job, CPI(M) leader Sufal Mahto required action from the builders and the officers concerned.
He remarked that the bridge has been built at a cost of many crores of rupees of public money.
Mahto worried that hundreds of cities are cut away from their closest urban localities and stated it’s hard for us to cross over the Kanchi river from boat through the monsoon.
Many citizens pointed out that the illegal sand mining is uncontrolled close to the bridge also may have influenced the structural stability of this bridge.
