2021 was the first time in many years that Samsung did not launch the Premium Note smartphone series.
Earlier this year, during the Samsung annual shareholder meeting, DJ Koh, COO Samsung CEO and the Cellular Communication Division has confirmed that this year will be difficult for the company to release the new Galaxy Note 21 series.
The Note series was traditionally launched in August but Samsung launched a shiny folding cellphone instead in 2021.
KOH then explained that the reason behind this was a lack of chips and collisions with existing products.
A new report by Phoneearena (via GalaxyClub) shows that the Note series might not see an extension.
The report said that Samsung renewed the trademark of a series of smartphones that existed but gave a note record value.
All other series – Galaxy M, Galaxy A, Galaxy S – trademarks are updated but not a series of records.
Although it is possible that Samsung may not fully give up on notes, indications are impossible.
In March 2021, Samsung explained that it did not kill the Note series.
Koh also mentioned that the company did not eliminate the Galaxy Note and Samsung series will come up with the Galaxy Note 22 series.
DJ KOH has said, “Galaxy Note is an important product category for those of us who have been loved by consumers for the past 10 years in the global market.
User experience S pen is an area that has worked harder than Samsung cellular people.
Their launch time might be different, but we will ensure that we don’t let the Galaxy note consumers.
“Samsung added the S-PENS support to the Galaxy Fold smartphone, which is a prominent feature from the Note series.
It still has to be seen if it is the tip of the road for the Note or Samsung series does bring it back.
