CERT-In said that imitation messages have been in flow through SMS that claims to provide an program to allow users register for COVID-19 vaccine in India.
While the specific wordings of this SMS may be different from time to time, the SMS imply users to obtain a program or APK files in their own Android mobiles by clicking the link which can be there about the SMS and set up the program.
“The SMS message includes a connection which supports the malicious program on Android based apparatus, which basically spreads itself through SMS to sufferers’ contacts.
The program also benefits unneeded permissions that Moses can leverage to get consumer data like contact record,” CERT-In stated in its advisory.
