Kolkata: Indian national beliefs for art and cultural heritage (Intach) have chosen the Police Commissioner Kolkata Suggestion Partners for the National Award when he takes the recovery of the Barrackpore Park and documents his ecological diversity.
“State retreat” Governor General, Lord Wellesley, who was built in 1800, was in a dilapidated country when partners, then the Director General (Training) additional, took over the campus which now functions as the Swami Vivekananda State Police Academy.
Bachelor of sharp history, partners not only lead the recovery of the residence of the governor-general but also documented the flora and fauna rich in Barrackpore Park, which was published as a book from the Academy.
This year, partners are one of the two people chosen by Intach for Anirudh Bhargava – Intach Environmental Award, a nationally recognized conservation honor.
Another limbing is environmental pelestator, Yashovardhan Sharma, who has worked to save the Orans and create water holes for black bucks and chinkaras in Rajasthan.
During the massive recovery of the Barrackpore Park, which took two years, partners had explored green plants on campus and recorded with various tree species, flowers, fruits and vines along birds, animals, reptiles and insects found there.
