Nagpur: Gangster-Turn-Politician Arun Gawli, nesting in the Nagpur Center Prison After being sentenced to life in 2012, on Wednesday praised leave by Benghi Nagpur High Court to meet with family members in Mumbai.
The division bench consisting of justice Vinay Deshpande and justice Amit Borkar was given a 28-day leave according to the rules of Prisons Maharashtra (parole and leave).
Previously, the application for leave was rejected by excavation (prison) quoting the threat to the law of Mumbai and the situation of the order, because he used to lead a criminal gang there.
Through the advice of Mir Nagman Ali, the resident of Chawl Dagi Mumbai has approached HC pray for the leave, he said, is his right to meet family members.
His lawyer showed that the 69-year-old child was released with parole and nine-time leave before and on every occasion, he had given up on the due date.
After hearing both sides, the bench ruled in supporting Gawli and ordered respondents to release it for 28 days.
In July last year, Gawli, who was punished for the former murder of MLA Kamalakar Jamsandekar, was given parole to be with his wife when he underwent surgery.
