Kolkata: One person was shot and panicked to grip Elliot Lane off Park Street after three local bastards allegedly fired a shot on club officials and attacked soccer players on Monday night during a soccer tournament.
Brawl starts around 10:30 a.m., after the local team lost the last match.
The winning team goalkeeper was attacked and the organizer was harassed and threatened.
The two-day tournament was held to celebrate Independence Day and Khela Hobe dijwa.
About three hours after the initial fight, the defendant returned around 12:30 in suspicion of efforts to “take ownership” club.
When the locals refused, the defendant fired three rounds.
A bullet hit Lawrence D’Cruze local club members on his right leg.
He must be operated at the CNMC hospital.
The police have arrested all the defendants – Sohail Khan aka Shahbaz, Sahnawaz Sagar aka Nawabs and MD Sharath, all Elliot Lane residents – on Tuesday night.
Allegations of murder attempts, criminal intimidation and damage, along with parts of ARMS acted, slapped by the Street Park Police.
Locals claimed that the defendant was initially unhappy after being told not to drink alcohol in the field.
“When the last match was almost over, one of the accused, Sohail, slapped the team goalkeeper who won.
He claimed that his team was supposed to win.
This made them angry,” said MD Rezaul, a local resident.
“Empty cartridges, live cartridges, hats and sandals have been confiscated.
The three were accused of being arrested,” said CP (crime) Murlidhar Sharma.
