Thiruvananthapuram: The high level for RT-PCR tests carried out at the airport is because of an expensive test cartridge that will produce results in one hour, CM Pinarayi Vijayan told the Assembly on Monday.
Replying to Submission by M Rajagopalan demanded that those made to take tests at the airport must pay a heavy fee compared to the applicable rates offered by the government and private institutions, Vijayan said that the government had improved the level for RT-PCR tests at the airport as Rs 2,490 through orders issued on September 8.
