Lucknow: Head of Ministers of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath on Sunday said high population can be a deterrent for the purpose of state and state development.
Speaking at the launch of the 2021-30 population policy concept on the occasion of the world population day, Yogi stated that new policies, which required various aspects of a person from birth to old age, taking into account every community.
“The high population is connected with poverty, therefore, this problem requires awareness among the targeted people,” he said, adding that this problem was also related to the goals of sustainable development set by the United Nations to 2030.

While uncovering the policy, Uttar Pradesh Minister of Yogi Adyityath said that it aims to stabilize the population in the country and reduce the steps of the mother and “must be taken by Uttar Pradesh which is the most densely populated Indian state,” he said.
This policy aims to reduce the reproductive rate to 2.1 in 2026 and 1.9 in 2030.
CM, which initiated the stability of the fortnight population program early Sunday, said there must be an adequate gap between two children to control the population.
He said the policy objectives were not limited to stabilizing the population but also to bring prosperity in people’s lives.
“The state also needs to take steps to reduce infant mortality (IMR) and maternal mortality (MMR).
We will ensure that population control measures have no adverse effects on any community.
We need to bring each community.

Yogi underlines the need for steps to make people closer to schemes initiated by the center aiming to benefit various communities.
Maintaining that population control problems are not only associated with the Department of Health and Family Welfare, CM emphasizes inter-departmental coordination for better results.
“Departments such as women and children’s welfare and education must enter and make a joint effort to control the population.
It is coordination between these departments that help the state government in controlling not only deadly Japanese encephalitis but also a coronavirus pandemic,” he said.
Meanwhile, CM also inaugurates 11 laboratories for RT-PCR testing.
He said the state government had taken a giant leap in the coronavirus testing capacity of zero to four lakh per day, in the past 16 months.
Now, the state has a RT-PCR test laboratory in 40 districts.
In other districts, tests are being carried out in medical colleges.
