Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Kerala Pinarayi Vijayan on Saturday said high-quality human resources and basic infrastructure to implement their services effectively cannot be avoided to improve administrative machines in the state and the focus of the government is to ensure both.
Speaking during the new parade of a new batch of fire personnel and rescue here, he said a total of 49 new personnel were appointed in strength and they met the education and trained requirements to meet their best performance to the community.
More than 1000 civil volunteers will also be part of Fireforce on Saturday under the civil defense forces recently formed to strengthen the initiative of southern disaster management, he said.
Thirty percent of civil volunteers are women, who can play an important role in rehabilitating families affected during the emergency, he said.
The purpose of the LDF government is to prepare and complete the strength of the state fire to handle emergency situations, the minister’s head added.
“High quality human resources and basic infrastructure to implement their services effectively cannot be avoided to improve administrative machines in a country.
My government tries to ensure both,” he said.
Praising services that are committed from the strength of state fires, especially during the deadly flooding and other natural disasters and also during Covid, Vijayan hopes that new members can make more effective interventions in accordance with the interests and demands of the community.
Unfortunately, Kerala has become a place where recurrent natural disasters in frequent intervals and effective rescue operations must be exhibited during emergencies.
Insist that the modernization of a fire style is very important to fulfill the frequent natural disasters, it also marks a set of advanced vehicles including 27 vehicles of fire rescue and 14 fiber vessels to be installed into strength.
