Bhubaneswar: The State Government on Monday called all universities under the Ministry of Higher Education to verify and appropriate authentication from a disability certificate from physical disability students (PH-OH) who have received the entrance ticket for 2019-20, 2020 -21 and academic session 2021-22.
In a letter to government / non-government / self-financing / self-financing players, the Saswat Higher Education Secretary Mishra directed them to take the steps needed to filter students who had taken reception after sending a false disability certificate.
Officials say it has arrived at the department notices that some students have received a ticket in Bhadrak (autonomous) universities in recent years under a disability quota (PWD) by sending a fake certificate.
The government acts after getting information about counterfeiting and investigating into this problem.
To detect such malpractice, the department has directed the college level to follow the instructions in this matter.
It has instructed 1,054 universities to verify the PH-OH student disability certificate through the Head of District Medical and Public Health Officials (CDMPHO) of the district concerned.
