Hike play rates for Mumbai-Pune, prepaid taxi airport

Mumbai: Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMRTA) transportation authority has agreed to increase taxi rates in front of the domestic and international airport in Mumbai and for AC / non-AC CABS Plying every day from Mumbai to Pune.
The revised AC taxi rates from Mumbai to Pune are Rs 525 per seat, Rs 100-hike for existing costs.
And non-AC taxi fees have been upgraded to Rs 450 per passenger from RS 350.
The increase will be implemented from the end of this week.
Nearly 400 licensed taxis operate every day on the Mumbai-Pune route.
Officials said that at the T2 International Airport, the minimum rate revised for prepaid Caali-Peeli taxis was Rs 127 for 6 km and at the domestic airport, Rs 85 for 4 km.
Outside the minimum distance, the cost will increase every two kilometers in both terminals.
Welcoming the increase, Union A L L Quadros taxi leader said: “I have written to the Transpo-RT authority to coordinate with airport officials and I show the rate revised next week.” At the international airport, the cost for travel 10 km will be RS 211 (25% incentive for the driver) and to rise 20 km, it will be Rs 406 (20% incentive for the driver).
Incentives for drivers are reduced because distance increases; It is in the range of 10-25%.
The overall passenger tariff is also telescopic, which is in accordance with the recommendation of the B c Khatua panel for tariff increases.
The panel also suggested that Caali-Peeli taxis were allowed to offer air conditioning to passengers for additional fees.
MMRTA has proven a 10% increase in tariffs for Caesi-peelis offering air conditioning services even though this will be fully a passenger choice.
