Shimla: Before the Wednesday visit from Minister Himachal Pradesh Minister Jai Ram Thakur to Dharamshala, Secretary AICC and former Minister Sudhir Sharma had cornered the BJP government about regional development issues.
He said that in the past 4 years, the BJP government has failed to ensure the development of Dharamshala.
He said that the BJP government must say whether it is not the fact that the size of the University of the Dharamshala campus center is reduced because the government has no money to pay NPV.
He claimed that compared to the size proposed during the previous Congress regime, now the campus was only proposed in the 25% area.
He has called the annoyed comments made by the local BJP MLA about the visit of the ridiculous chairman of the minister.
He said that BJP MLA claimed that CM visits would add to the development of Dharamshala while the truth was the area failed to testify in the last 4 years BJP rules.
“Now the head of the minister came to Dharamshala to calculate the work of the development of the previous Congress regime in his own account and to cover failure to ensure regional development,” he added.
He said that the Dharamshala War Museum was inaugurated in the previous Congress government, which continued to lock the government for four years and now there was a program to formalize the same building.
“This is a bad joke not only with Dharamshala people but also in our brave army,” he added.
He said that the expansion and beauty of Dhauladhar Hotel was conducted with funds from the Asian Development Bank, which was approved for Dharamshala constituency during the previous Congress government.
He said that as far as the international convention center, a football academy was proposed at the Zoravar Stadium, which had come from the previous government.
He said right in front of him, indoor gymnasium and a lake also proposed the foundation stone which was placed during the previous government.
He said that the stadium was intended for sports and not for establishing concrete forests so that there would be strong opposition to damage it.
He said the Dharamsala Ropeway was a gift from the previous Congress government and this Ropeway was given to the company for Rs 140 Crore.
He said that it was supposed to operate around three and a half years ago.
He said that what was the reason why the cost increased from 140 crores to more than 200 crores and why didn’t the parking work starting from where Ropeway would begin? “Isn’t that true because of the attitude of the LAX government, the company has sold this project shares to other companies too? The government is currently responsible for the loss of the government treasury due to the delay in the project.
If the government is so progressive, then Shimla and Hienman Chamunda will start the work of Ropeway,” Add it.
Sudhir Sharma said that all projects would be in a hurry, actually the previous Congress government.
In the last four years the BJP government cannot even start a new job, he added.
