Guwahati: In the first to Chief Minister Assam made an overture of peace with militant clothing, Himanta Buswa Sarma stated on Wednesday that elephants in the room – Ulfa (i) “core demand for sovereignty” – must be overcome throughout the way.

Sarma immediately after taking over as cm, said someone needed a new “approach” to break the obstacles.
“A balance must be made between the perimeter of the constitution and demand for clothing for sovereignty.
I think their core problems must be discussed at a time point.”
