Guwahati: Minister of Assam Minister Himanta Buswa Sarma on Thursday led confidence in the recent increase in surge in cases of Covid-19 conducted by the omicron variant of the virus when the state government had increased his health infrastructure and implemented his management strategy to deal with the situation whatever.
The main minister said that the state government focused on inoculation and targeting to complete the second dose of the vaccine to a population that meets the requirements on February 10, the official statement said.
Updating Prime Minister at a video conference on state preparedness to overcome the current situation, Sarma said the health infrastructure created in the country has made the government careless about handling pandemics.
The minister’s chairman said, “Assam believes he will deal with the third wave caused by an omicron infection.
But at the same time, it takes a careful approach in his Covid care management strategy to maintain an infection at a manageable level.” He thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the Emergency Emergency RS 670 Crore (ECRP) response package, which helped the state government to improve his health infrastructure to handle pandemics.
Sarma said because the vaccine was the most powerful tool to fight infection, the Government Assam had come out in investing people who met the requirements of the state.
Assam has so far covered 95 percent of the population that qualifies with the first dose of Covid-19 and 71 percent vaccine with the second dose, he said.
The state also manages the dose of prevention of prevention (dose of booster) to frontline workers and senior citizens, along with the drivers of inoculation for adolescents in the bracket aged 15-18 years.
The statement was said to be out of the case of Covid-19 active in the state, only seven percent of patients needed inpatient until Wednesday.

Covid-19 Tally State has increased to 6.38,288 with detection of 3,238 new cases and three deaths on Thursday, and today’s peposititivity level is 7.87 percent, said a national health mission bulletin.
The active kasel in the current state is 13,785, while the number of patients who healed so far is 6.16,964 with a total recovery rate at 96.66 percent.
While the number of new cases on Thursday decreased slightly with 36 compared to the previous day, Kaseload actively rose 1,993.
