Hyderabad: Since Thursday morning, a heavy inflow continues to arrive at the Himayathsagar reservoir due to heavy rains in the upstream area, the official supply of Hyderabad metropolitan water supply and the sewerage board (HMWS & SB) raised two more water gates around 18:30, and issued 1,716 Cusec water to the Musi River.
On July 20, three reservoir water doors were appointed.
With this, a total of five of the 17 floodgates were appointed.

According to official figures HMWS & SB, HimayatSagar reservoir hold water at 1762.60 feet with a full tank level of 1763.50 feet.
The inflow of the reservoir is 600 cusecs and the outflow is maintained at 1,030 cusecs.
Immediately after, two water gates were appointed, and then Air Council officials warned the administration of the Hyderabad district to evacuate the families of regions located along the Musi River and low-blooded areas.
Meanwhile, police Hyderabad had intensified patrols along the Musi River and warned people not to move near the Musi area, because the water gate was lifted.
