Namakkal: Hindu Cadre Makkal Katchi (HMK) and Desiya Sindhanai Peravai (DSP) filed a petition to Lord Ganesha in Tiruchengode here on Thursday to ensure that the State Government gave permission to conduct Vinayaka Chaturthi celebrations.
More than 30 HMK and DSP cadres conducted a silent procession before sending a petition.
President of President Trymankukkarasu told reporters that Chairman of the Constitutional Court Minister Stalin contradicted Hinduism.
“The Karnataka government does not close the temple on Friday.
However, in Tamil Nadu, all the temples were closed on Friday,” he said.
