Mumbai: Head of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Mohan Bhagwat on Monday said Hindus and Muslim shared the same descendants and every Indian citizen was “Hindu”.
Speaking at an event here is organized by Pune-based global strategic policy foundations, he said “sane” Muslim leaders must stand strongly against fundamentalists.
“Hindu words are equivalent to homeland, ancestors and Indian culture.
This does not respect other views.
We must think in terms of getting Indian dominance and not Muslim domination,” he said.
Bhagwat said for the development of all-round India, everyone must work together.
“Islam comes to India with invaders.
This is a history and must be notified that way.
Wane Muslim leaders must oppose unnecessary problems and stand strongly against fundamentalists and hardlines.
The more we do this, the less damage will be happens to our society, “he said.
India, as a superpower country, will not scare anyone, said the RSS leader.
“Hindu word is equivalent to the rich inheritance of our homeland, ancestors and our culture, and every Indian is a Hindu,” he said at the seminar entitled “Nation First, Nation Supreme”.
Hindus and Muslims share the same ancestors, said Bhagwat.
Governor Kerala Arif Mohammad Khan and Lt Gen Syed Ata Hasnain (RETD), Chancellor, Central University Kashmir, is one of the other prominent speakers at the event.
Khan said more diversity leads to prosperous societies and adding “Indian culture considers all the same people.” LT Gen Hasnain said Muslim intellectuals must thwart Pakistan’s efforts to target Indian Muslims.
