CHENNAI: FMCG major Hindustan Unilever Limited has collected its Mission HO2PE at Chennai in partnership with KVN Foundation along with Portea Medical, to earn oxygen concentrators available for free for Covid-19 patients.
During Mission HO2PE, HUL has airlifted over 5,000 oxygen concentrators to India and following a prosperous roll-out in five towns, (Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Lucknow and Chandigarh) HUL’s initiative can offer access to oxygen to Covid-19 patients right in their houses.
At Chennai, Covid-19 caregivers and patients can ask to an air concentrator by providing a missed call on 08068065385.
The Mission HO2PE staff will join with the individual and help with the petition.
When the petition is supported, the concentrator will soon be sent into the patient’s house.
A trained volunteer may also see to assist the caregivers and patients and help them in handling operations and functions of both the air concentrator.
“The program is working below a’borrow-use-return’ version.
Post use, the concentrators will soon be sanitised, shielded and supplied to another pair of individuals who want them, hence ensuring that the concentrators attain a maximum amount of individuals and save as many lives as you can,” HUL stated.
