Pune: The work in Metro Hinjewadi-Shivajinagar corridor is likely to begin around Dasara, officials of the Metropolitan Pune Metropolitan Regional Development Authority (PMRDA) said.
However, the last date will be decided later.
PMRDA officials said the land acquisition process was almost complete for the corridor and that Pune Municipal Corporation had given the principle approval to the University Flyover plan, cleaning the deck for concession holders – to start the project.
The project must be completed within three years and four months from the date of starting.
The PMRDA source told Ti that with the whole process ready, only the date of the started commencement to start the job.
“After the date is decided, the concession holder will share the phase plan, and implement it,” the official said.
At present, some preliminary work has been going on, such as a barricade of about 3 km and the pillar job foundation in it.
