History of Prof. Dinesh Prasad Saklani is the new NCERT Director

New Delhi: Professor of History, Dinesh Prasad Saklani has been appointed as the new Director of the National Council of Research and Education Training (NCERT) on Friday.
“The central government has appointed Dinesh Prasad Saklani as NCERT director for five years or until he reached the age of 65, which was earliest,” said a senior Moe official.
Safe! You have managed to throw your votelogin to see Reslani is a professor with the historical department, ancient Indian history, culture and archeology at HNB Garhwal University, Uttarakhand.
He is also the Director of the Chauras campus from the University.
The life member of the Indian History Congress, Saklani previously taught for eight years at the Ministry of Tourism and IAS (PRA) training center from the University of HNB Garhwal as the Faculty of Guest and was a Fellowing visiting in the India Institute of Advanced Studies, Shimla.
He was chosen as a lecturer at the University of HNB Garhwal in May 1992.
Saklani took over Ncert in an important period of making four national curriculum frameworks and designed new school textbooks.
He previously worked on the NCERT project to develop historical atlas for CBSE.
He is currently working on the main research project on the Ramayana tradition at the Himalayan Garhwal funded by the Indian Historical Research Council.
