Hit visibility when Delhi saw the 3rd season solid fog

New Delhi: Delhiites wake up for solid fog recorded in several parts of the city on Thursday morning.
It was a third thick fog spell of the season at Palam, while Safdarjung, who was the weather station Pangkalan Delhi, recording the first.
According to the Indian Meteorology Department (IMD), the visibility fell to 50 meters at the Palam starting at 4.30am to 9:30 a.m.
Fixed visibility between 50 and 100 meters in Safdarjung from 7am to 9:30 a.m.
“Under the influence of Western disorders, good rainfall was recorded in Delhi and other countries a few days ago.
It causes high water content, which becomes profitable for the formation of a thick fog,” said RK Jenamani, a senior scientist at the comm.
He added that the fog mantra can remain in this region for the next 2-3 days and isolated locations may see solid fog.
The fog is called solid when the visibility drops down 200 meters.
The Met Department has expected moderate to dense fog in the city on Friday morning.
“There is a high moisture of the wet spell that occurs above the northwest and side by side of Central India from 7 to 10.
Solid fog or low clouds observed in several locations during the second half of this week,” added IMD.
The minimum temperature drops to 5.8 degrees Celsius, two degrees below normal.
The maximum temperature is recorded at 16.7 degrees Celsius, three notches below normal.
“Even though the minimum temperature tends to be low for 2-3 days ahead, there are fewer cold wave opportunities,” said Jenamani.
An official meeting said that when other Western disturbances would likely have an impact on the area from 16 or January 17, the cloudy sky was predicted from January 18 and the minimum temperature could increase again.
The minimum temperature is likely to increase to seven degrees Celsius from January 17-18.
