Kolhapur: The district has witnessed a consistent decline in HIV-positive cases, although there are high inflows of the migration population here.
Over the past 10 years, the number of targets tested by HIV doubled from 75,000 to 1.42 lakh.
In 2020-21, 93,000 people had been tested for HIV and from them, only 397 were positive.
Since April this year, the government has tested 32,000 individuals and 191 has been tested positively.
