Coimbatore: Hindu Member Munnani gathered in prominent temples on Thursday to look for divine intervention to allow Vinayaka Chaturthi celebrations in public places.
According to HM’s office carrier, 2,600 members, including 800 women, took part in the drive held at 250 temples around the area.
A group of members led by the President of the HM K District and Gather at the Temple of Thandi Mariamman in Uppliyapalayam and knelt in front of Sanctum Sanctorum.
Basic and told reporters that the DMK government wanted to limit the celebration.
“All places, including Tasmac outlets, shopping centers, and beaches have been opened, but the Festival’s prohibition continues,” he said.
Meanwhile, CPM condemned HM and BJP leaders because they tried to create legal and order problems in the midst of a pandemic at the party executive.
The committee meeting was held at Chennai on Thursday.
CPM Secretary CPM K Balakrishnan said the state government softened the process and celebration due to a pandemic.
“However, there is no limit to celebrate in the room and dissolving Vinayaka idols in public places.
BJP and Hindu leaders Munnani tried to create legal and order problems on behalf of the festival.
They are people who make a festival, which is celebrated peacefully , which is sensitive, “Balakrishnan added.
