New Delhi: Hmangaihzuali, a smaller Mizoram and a smallholder daughter, is among the five successful Syngenta scholarship recipients to enter the prestigious Asian university for women (AUW) in Bangladesh.
The global agricultural company Syngenta said in a statement that the $ 375,000 scholarship (Rs 2.8 Crore) will include tuition fees, spaces and boards, health coverage, textbooks, and supplies along with the possibility of internship opportunities in the company.
Hmangaihz 5.I, a resident of Thingsul in Mizoram, was accepted by AUW and will pursue undergraduate programs in politics, philosophy, economics and public health at this All-Women University.
“Even though it comes from a poor agricultural family, I get the privilege of being registered for this prestigious program in Bangladesh.
I always dream of going to a good university, and thanks to Syngenta, my dream is right,” said Hmangaihz for.
Four other Syngenta scholarship recipients came from Bangladesh.
The recipient of this scholarship was chosen from students who were interested in the agricultural community based on their academic excellence and showed their leadership.
Syngenta India Managing Director Rafael Del Rio said, “This initiative is in recognition of a significant economic contribution from women in agriculture and harmonized with the commitment of AUW and Syngenta in expanding opportunities to help rural women succeed.” From the period of five-year scholarship, students will devote one full year to learn English under the rubric ‘path to appointments’ Auw.
They will spend the second year at the Accademy Academy for further academic preparation for all core academic subjects.
And, the last three years will be devoted to complete undergraduate programs that meet US accreditation requirements.
